Laser Treatments for Capillaries, Scars, and Redness

With the V-beam laser, recent advances in laser technology enable us to treat several problems that involve faulty blood vessels without the severity of black and blue marks of earlier lasers. Broken capillaries, red and raised scars, leg veins, rosacea, and persistent facial flushing are few of the several problems that we can safely and effectively treat with minimal downtime.

V-Beam Laser
Who Is It For

V-Beam laser for patients who have broken facial capillaries or red spots on their face or body.

How It Works

Generally, one or two treatments with the laser are necessary. This laser delivers light of the particular color that is absorbed by broken capillaries and red spots. As a result, the lesion becomes much less noticeable, and in many cases, resolves completely.

This procedure should only performed by a board-certified dermatologist.

  1. What is the Vbeam Laser used for?

The Vbeam laser is the gold standard for the treatment of facial redness and facial veins. The Vbeam laser is used to treat broken facial capillaries, dilated facial veins, vascular birthmarks, and rosacea. The laser will reduce and improve redness in the skin.

  2. Is the Vbeam laser FDA approved?

Yes. The Vbeam laser is FDA approved for the treatment of a wide variety of benign vascular conditions.

  3. Who performs the Vbeam laser procedure?

Unlike many other physician offices, in our office only board certified highly experienced physicians perform the Vbeam laser treatment.

  4. How many Vbeam laser treatments will I need?

Most patients will need 3-5 treatments. These are usually performed at three to four week intervals.

  5. How do I decide whether my skin would be better treated with a series of Vbeam treatments or a series of FotoFacial treatments (also known as intense pulsed light)?

If your face is both red and brown, then choose the FotoFacial series. If your face is red but not brown, then choose the Vbeam series. Dr. Rothfeld  will be happy to evaluate your skin and make a recommendation.

Other Ways to Treat Small Capillaries?

Electrodesiccation can be used to effectively treat broken facial capillaries.

    What is Electrodesiccation?

Electrodesiccation is a type of electrosurgery. A small electric current passes through a fine needle. The application of this current can seal off small blood vessels.

    Will the Treatment be Permanent?
Once treated, many vessels will be destroyed permanently. Sometimes however, for a variety of reasons, not all of the vessels can be treated at once. You may need a touch-up procedure. Additionally, patients are often prone to developing new lesions in the future. These can easily be treated at a later session.

Capillaries Treatment in New York, NY at 629 Park Avenue: Advancements in Facial and Body Rejuvenation

The pursuit of flawless, radiant skin has been a hallmark of human beauty standards throughout history. In contemporary times, the field of dermatology and aesthetic medicine has witnessed remarkable advancements in the treatment of various skin concerns, including capillaries.

Capillaries, the tiniest blood vessels in our bodies, are essential for nutrient and oxygen exchange but can sometimes become visibly dilated or broken, causing aesthetic concerns. In this article, we delve into the state-of-the-art capillaries treatment options available at 629 Park Avenue in New York, NY, underlining the scientific approach to achieving stunning results.

Understanding Capillaries

Capillaries are the microscopic vessels that connect arteries and veins, playing a crucial role in delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues and removing waste products. However, factors such as genetics, aging, sun exposure, and lifestyle choices can lead to the dilation or breakage of these delicate vessels, resulting in the appearance of red or purple lines on the skin's surface, especially on the face and body.

Advanced Capillaries Treatment

At 629 Park Avenue in New York, NY, our team of experienced dermatologists, led by Dr. Gary Rothfeld, employs cutting-edge techniques to address capillary-related concerns. Here, we highlight some of the advanced treatment options:

Laser Therapy: Laser treatments, such as pulsed dye lasers and intense pulsed light (IPL), have revolutionized capillary treatment. These non-invasive procedures target and coagulate the dilated vessels, causing them to fade over time. They are highly precise and can be customized for various skin types and capillary size

Sclerotherapy: Sclerotherapy is an effective method for treating larger capillaries or spider veins on the legs. A specialized solution is injected into the affected vessels, causing them to collapse and gradually disappear.

Advanced Topical Solutions: Dr. Rothfeld and his team utilize medical-grade topical solutions containing specialized ingredients to improve capillary health and reduce their visibility. These tailored solutions complement in-office treatments.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP): PRP therapy, often known as the "Vampire Facial," involves using the patient's platelet-rich plasma to stimulate collagen production and improve capillary health, resulting in smoother and more youthful-looking skin.

Microdermabrasion and Chemical Peels: These treatments are used in conjunction with other modalities to enhance the overall texture and appearance of the skin while targeting capillary concerns.

Scientific Approach

Our approach to capillaries treatment is grounded in science and the latest research in dermatology. Each patient undergoes a thorough evaluation to determine the most suitable treatment plan based on their skin type, capillary condition, and individual goals.
